Porn star bus driver faces sack

A newly qualified bus driver is facing the sack after it emerged that she is a well known porn star.

Audrey, 24 and the reigning 'Miss Nude Belgium 2009', passed all her driving tests following a six week intensive course in the city of Liege last month.

But soon after she began work she was called back to the head office of bus company TEC and asked to explain a series of 'interesting pictures.'

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

More people should be encouraged to use public transport.

Where the porn portion?? Nude pictures are usually defined as soft porn...no?

It seems the company is only concerned with her getting a good nights sleep.

I'm sure this not a moral issue...yeah right.

Oh please, not an morality issue? Driving a bus doesn't pay a whole lot, I'm sure they have more than one employee that moonlights evenings waiting tables or tending bar. Yet they make an issue over her secondary employment due to the evening hours? While I agree that drivers must be well rested, their argument in the particular instance does nothing but highlight their morally judgmental bias.

If she was in a position to be a role model for young children I might side with an employer, but not in this instance.

Yes, it IS about morality. The subject started with pictures to be "explained" and the "late nights" argument was made up after they were told of the job.

No other driver ever stays up late?

It's a shame that the media has gotten an opportunity to stifle and sensationalize what is fairly obviously an attempt to pursue a new career. Audrey, I wish you good luck, and I hope that your future employers can be more discrete.

She's poses no danger to society.

Shame on those who assume being Miss Nude Belgium is degrading, and with the sensationalistic journalism that labels such a position "porn". Does being Miss Nude Belgium involve sex? I doubt it. Are the pictures tasteful, or tantalizing? Without knowing, there is no way to tell. Is it porn? Doesn't sound like it. Is porn even degrading? That's a matter of personal opinion.

Perhaps those who state that her former job was "porn" and therefore "degrading" should apply for work as a public transportation supervisor in Belgium. It seems intolerance and jumping to conclusions are part of the job there.

Porn is only degrading to the women who chose to do so. We shouldn't assume that she didn't like doing porn. Seems alot more fun than driving a bunch of screaming kids around. But i guess anything loses its luster after you do it a thousand times. I never did agree that porn is degrading to all women. If you dont do it your community is sure to think you're a better person than someone who does, for some odd reason.

I bet she doesn't like riding the short bus!

A porn star does nothing more than the average housewife does in the bedroom. Maybe she does not get the "money shot" in the face, but the rest of it is done in each bedroom every night. Many ladies-- if they would admit it would like to do a little pron if they could get away with it. The folks in the head office of the bus company who are "upset" Probably go home, drag out the chains and whips and maids uniforms, and ask the wife " who is playing the maid tonight". Get a life and let everyone get laid.

what she did was legal and it should not have anything to do with her keeping a job whether it is a bus driver or store clerk or school teacher. i don't understand why everyone is so judgmental about nudity. i guess it is the religous nonesense we are all subjected to. i hope her employers are intelligent people and let her keep her job.

I bet they wouldn't say the same thing if she worked nights as a police officer or nurse. They are worried about her working late and driving the bus the next morning- how do they know the personal habits in their drivers off time? Are all drivers required to be in bed and pledge to get 8hours of sleep?

Forget driving that bus honey, start your on erotic public bus transit for passengers over 18. It could be like a strip club on wheels- have a morning cup of coffee, read the paper, and get a lap dance all while being transported to work. Don't forget the lady passengers- nothing like getting a foot rub at the end of a long day by some sexy man wearing next to nothing.

With her love of erotica and people "skills" she could make a fortune!

I'm not sure where she is, but regarding "bargainqueen" s comments, in the US, all drivers of a commercial vehicle ARE expected to get their required sleep in order to do their job. Why do you think that largest portion of fatality accidents by commercial vehicles in the US are due to fatigue?

I agree that an individual with a CDL should get adequate sleep. I used to dispatch truck drivers and there are regulations put in place to prohibit drivers from exceeding hours driven in order to combat fatigue related accidents. Fatigue is the number one cause of accidents and we have expectations for the drivers to obtain enough sleep.

I think with any job adequate sleep leads to better job performance and I think it is expected of all employees. However, is it fair for them to single her out to pledge to not work her other job because of concerns of sleep? Who is to say all of the other drivers are getting adequate sleep and they don't have secondary jobs? How do they know that she doesn't get adequate sleep already- they seemed to praise her for her current job performance as a driver- but the concern for sleep didn't arise until porn came into the picture.
